Music is like breathing for Leila A. (TM) ., who started singing at the age of 5. By the age of 9 she had 6 songs written after studying the top songs at that time and breaking them apart to see how they worked. At 15 she was already recording professionally and singing background for her father also a songwriter and singer. While attending MDC (Miami Dade College) in south Florida the shy singer was encouraged by her professors to perform and write music. For a few semesters she sang in the Jazz Combo as well as continuing her studies in Classical and Pop singing. It was while attending this college that she met fellow musician and co-writer Gabe Vales. Her biggest love is Pop music especially when it's rock based with a soaring guitar, incredible bass and drums. Her biggest influences are Carlos Santana, Sting, Michael McDonald, Sheryl Crow, Sade ,Dee Dee Bridgewater, Fine Young Cannibals and Amy Winehouse.

The CD “Mustang Johnny” is an introduction of her music laced with smooth catchy vocals, rock based songs with a bit of Latin flavor. . From rock, Latin rock to jazz touches. On both Jango.com and Reverbnation the fans are raving about her music.
The contributing musicians and lead engineer form a group of the very best in the industry: guitars by Leo Quintero, who has played with Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin and Shakira among others.
